Trident College is a coeducational day and boarding school in a remote corner of north west Zambia, very close to the Congo border. It has pupils drawn from 14 different nationalities and backgrounds. There are 83 pupils registered in our current A-Level group, 30 % of whom are on full scholarships.
We expect almost all of the pupils will go on to tertiary education; the majority of these will go to universities in southern Africa. Other popular destinations are the UK, USA, Australia and Canada. We follow the Cambridge International programme, allowing students to take a maximum of 9 subjects at IGCSE level, Three at AS level and four at A level. The AS and A Level programme foster curiosity and conceptual understanding.
This is acquired through research, independent and alternative learning approaches. Trident sixth formers represent and lead the school community as prefects and ambassadors empowering each individual to embrace future opportunities and adversities.
